The pink Dahlia's are actually some of mine growing in a pot on the back steps. I found the rest of the images on google and just played around.
And this one I did basically the same, using one of my flowers that I altered in a program called Pixlr. It's my favorite altering app ever.
And a couple more of my flowers that I altered in Pixlr. Same photo, different overlays.
I waste a lot of time playing with this app in the evenings. It's better than TV!
Week 35 Growth and Change.
Since living alone for 5 years and being totally dependent on myself for everything, I've grown immensely. I'm self-sufficient, solving problems and learning how to cope with everything myself. I'm stronger and more aware of everything. I know I've changed from the person I was 10 years ago into a strong secure seasoned woman. And I kinda like that. So I'm going to post a picture of me. :)
I've grown and changed.
I am woman and I am strong.
Love some of those flower pictures! You obviously had fun! Lovely picture of you and a wonderful quote from Helen Reddy!
ReplyDeleteGreat post Donna. I too am learning to be a strong self-sufficient woman. I have grown in the last 2 years much more than I expected. I used to fear being alone and now I am learning to embrace it. Your photograph is beautiful.

ReplyDeleteYour pictures and how you manipulated them are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteWell, first, you have given us a lovely self-portrait. There is certainly strength there in your face.
ReplyDeleteBut your altered flowers are fantastic! I love that some start to look like a different photo all together!
Your flower photos are just lovely!! They almost look like paintings!!!
ReplyDeleteI am proud of your for being able to live on your own. I'm not sure I could do that. You are a strong woman and I admire that.
Congratulations on the beautiful photos and even more so on becoming all that you have set out to accomplish in your life.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I have Picasa on my computer and like to play some with it. Though I would like to get something a little more advanced so I can put layers over layers. And kudos to "being a woman" Amazing what we can do when we set our minds to it! Thanks for the great post.
ReplyDeleteThe dahlias are so cool! Proud of you for your growth- many of us stop that too early!
ReplyDeleteDonna I love your flower photo alterations. I missed last week too and you have just inspired to me to do something with my photos. I am also happy to see that photo of you. You look happy and secure.
