Week 21: Reminisce

Reminisce?  I don't have time for it. If you knew me you would know that I focus on my work almost 24/7.   Really, about the only time I allow myself to reminisce is when I travel back to Alaska.  I have a love/hate relationship with the place.  I loved everything about my being there and the life I had.  Then I lost it all when the person I was so in love with changed and became an abuser.  I lived through hell.  Each time I go back to Alaska, when the plane is landing I have many emotions overcome me.  Some good, some not so good.  But I continue to go back because I love it there so much and now I make new memories.

 

I try not to think about the days when my life turned upside down, instead focusing on all the positive energy that surrounds me when I am there.

Focus On Life Week 20~Looking Up

My Daughter and I celebrated Mother's Day this week.  She was busy over the weekend.  Usually when she comes to visit me we take a trek out to one of our favorite forest haunts.  We were not disappointed this time, the weather was perfect and skies were changing as we watched a storm front moving in so the light was indirect.  Tree's were leafing out and the Wild Plum was in full bloom.

Lovely.

 

This was taken a few weeks ago when some migrating Cedar Waxwings came thru and were looking for something to eat.

 

 

This week challenge was to "look up" and, I guess I was!

Focus On Life Week 18~Abstract

I struggled with this and thought about it all week long.  Actually, I did take this photo the same day Sally sent out this weeks challenge.  But I wasn't satisified with what I had to offer.  And I really didn't have time to do anything different.  So here is my offering for this week's challenge, such as it is.

A side view of one of my beads, haha......don't know if this really works or not for the challenge but it's all I have.

So there ya go, have a great week!  Been dealing with 17 inches of new snow since Thursday..too bad the challenge wasn't about snow!  I could have showed many pics then, lol....
